GIS Day PhD workshop 2024.

Every year on 20 November, we celebrate GIS Day, the International Day of Geographic Information Systems. In recent years, the Institute of Cartography and Geoinformatics has prepared for this event with a variety of activities.

This year, we would like to extend this with an informal in-house workshop for you to get to know each other and the Institute's lecturers better, and to engage in an active dialogue on your areas of expertise and research topics.

The workshop is open to all PhD students working on cartography, geoinformatics or remote sensing, and you can apply with short presentations of 10-15 minutes (PPT, Prezi, etc). These do not necessarily have to present scientific results, you can formulate your questions and professional problems, to which we will seek answers together with the participants. We also welcome PhD or graduate students who do not wish to present at this time - their participation and ideas can be useful for everyone! All of you are welcome to bring snacks and drinks from your own country and culture - so that we can continue the discussion informally after the workshop.
