At the Institute of Cartography and Geoinformatics at ELTE, two Master's programmes are available: the Cartography MSc and the Geoinformatics MSc. 

The Cartography programme has a long tradition: formal cartographic education began in 1955 (in Hungarian language), and it remains the only institution in Hungary where one can earn a degree in cartography. Although the past 70 years have brought significant technological changes in the science, the high standard of education has remained constant. The Cartography master programme in English language launched first in 2016, and since then several students took a successful final exam. The Geoinformatics MSc programme has been offered in English language since 2024.
